This video of Kenny Endo’s original composition “Moonwind” was created for First Voice as part of their Earth Day Offerings.
Celebrating the 50th Anniversary of Earth Day, First Voice presented a series of artist videos, all made during the COVID19 pandemic’s “shelter in place.”

雨 – AME, TEARS of the EARTH was a live-stream virtual concert broadcast from the historic Hawaii Theatre on May 22, 2021. The concert featured a diverse group of musicians and cultures in a creative and positive response to counter the negativity and hatred occurring at the time. Black Lives Matter, Asian Hate, Anti-Immigration, Global Warming were issues prevalent at the time and which continue today.
Performers included: Kenny Endo (taiko), Peter Rockford Espiritu and Tau Dance Theatre (contemporary dance), Todd Yukumoto (sax, flute), Abe Lagrimas Jr (ukulele, vibes, drumset), Sun Hui Hung (erhu), Maureen Kearns (dance), Taiko Center of the Pacific, and the Taiko Center of the Pacific Youth Group. Viewers tuned in live from around the globe and now you can view the concert, too!
